Hello! I’m Courtney and I love books. I’ve been collecting for about a year now, and I’ve decided to start documenting it :) I have very diverse taste and pretty much exclusively read YA fantasy. Oops. But then again the book I recommend to everyone is The 7.5 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton and that’s a mystery/thriller, so who knows what’s going on.
I looked at other book people’s ‘About me’ pages as I wrote this because I was concerned this was too casual—but! I’m really happy to confirm that unlike most people’s website 'About me's, the book community’s are rambling, digression-riddled, highly informal, and long. But we’re readers—it’s what we do.
On this website I hope to give out actually useful advice, and I’ve made a start doing that, along with explaining why collectors should be on all the social media platforms.
The Part Where I Shamelessly Promote My Other Social Medias:
On Instagram I photograph and talk about the editions of books I have, on Twitter I basically just froth over new announcements and monitor the #arcsfortrade hashtag, and on Pinterest I stalk other people’s boards and hijack their posts (along with making my own immensely mediocre ones).
I hope my cross-platform clearly crazy obsession with special editions makes you feel less crazy, or completely normal :)
